Why is my Peloton stuck on installing an update? ›

If your Guide appears stuck on an update, please wait 30 minutes. Most issues will resolve themselves in a 30-minute timeframe. If the Guide is still stuck on an update after 30 minutes, please check the following: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is not experiencing any issues.

Confirm that the outlet has power by using another device in the outlet. Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into the back of the Peloton Guide and power outlet. If the issue persists, power cycle the Peloton Guide by disconnecting the power cable directly from the outlet.

On occasion, performing a factory reset on your Peloton Product can aid in troubleshooting software issues you may encounter. Factory resetting your Peloton Product will not erase your personal data (workout history, personal records, etc.)

Note: By default, after 15 minutes of inactivity, the Peloton Guide will automatically enter a sleep mode. This default setting can be changed through Settings > Screen > Auto-Sleep > Select a time. To wake up the Guide, you can press any two buttons on your Peloton Guide remote.

Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button. Or, Hold down Ctrl and press F5.

Open your browser. Android browser: Go to Menu > More > Settings or Menu > Settings > Privacy & Security. Chrome: Go to Menu > Settings > Privacy. Android browser: Tap Clear cache, Clear history, and Clear all cookie data as appropriate.

Why is my Peloton taking so long to update? ›

If your new Peloton bike is stuck on “updating”, you can try restarting the device by unplugging it from the wall, waiting five seconds, then plugging it back in again and turning it on as usual. You can also check if your home network connection is functioning properly.

There are three main reasons for the Peloton Tread to stop unexpectedly: the power cord is disconnected, the installation does not meet electrical power requirements, or the safety key is disconnected.

Always unplug the Bike immediately after use and before cleaning or performing maintenance. Fully engage the brake when the Bike and Bike+ is not in use.

The easiest way to verify that your Peloton is updated to the latest and greatest software is to verify in the Settings section of the touchscreen.

Check the touchscreen power.

Unplug both monitor cable connectors from the back of the touchscreen. Take the power adapter cable that was connected to the base of the Peloton Bike and connect it directly into the touchscreen's power jack. Hold down the power button for 3-5 seconds to power on the touchscreen.
