This is the very first time the world witnessed Ariana’s secret talent. Back in the day, before she was a mega popstar and when she (shockingly) wore different hairstyles, Ari and her brother, Frankie decided to show the world just how talented she was.
Ari showed off her rendition of impressions, including Ariel (from The Little Mermaid), Britney Spears, Shakira, and a song from The Wizard of Oz.

Amy Lee and Mariah Carey
Although Ari swore off impressions as it puts a lot of strain on her throat, she didn’t stay out of the game for too long. In May 2018, the pop princess played another impression game with TV host Jimmy Fallon.
This time she impersonated Amy Lee with the genre, Goth Rock and sounded very similar to Mariah Carey with 90s Diva (although with the shade that Mariah’s given her over the years, she didn’t specify any names).
Christina Aguilera & Others
During a 2015 appearance on The Tonight Show, Ari played a musical game with host, Jimmy Fallon, called ‘The Wheel of Music’ – and we have to say that this performance topped any that came before it!
Ari left Jimmy and the audience stunned when she imitated Britney Spears (singing Mary Had a Little Lamb), Christina Aguilera (singing The Wheels on the Bus) and Celine Dion (singing I Can’t Feel My Face).
Celine Dion
Let’s just say the singer’s favorite celebrity to impersonate is Celine Dion – and it’s certainly one of her best!
The Thank U, Nextpopstar done a spot-on impression of Celine Dion whilst on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Ariana blew our minds as she sang the icon’s Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast.

Judy Garland
In a 2016Saturday Night Livesketch, Ariana gave an uncanny performance of musical goddess, Judy Garland. In the short piece, Judy tries to reboot her career with a musical space movie.

During a 2016 ‘Celebrity Family Feud’ sketch on SNL, Ariana impersonated Jennifer Lawrence impeccably; just watch the video to see how fabulous the impression was – it’s as though she stole J-Law’s voice!

During a 2018 interview on The Tonight Show, Ariana cracked out another impression, and this time, it was of Jennifer Coolidge from the hit movie, Legally Blonde. The clip was so good that it sent the internet into a frenzy.
Jen even posted on Instagram herself saying “I’m always so impressed when someone can do a great impression of me but @arianagrande is so good on @fallontonight, I’m afraid she is going to introduce me to myself!”
Pete Davidson and Nonna
In another appearance on The Tonight Show, Ariana hit the nail on the head when she recited a discussion between her ex-fiancé, Pete Davidson and her Nonna. Who knew that Ari could impersonate men too?!
Mariah Carey
Ariana and Mariah are so similar, there’s no surprise that the dainty star can do an impeccable imitation of the 90’s star.
This isn’t an impersonation per se, but we just had to mention this incredible cover of Mariah Carey’s Emotions. If we didn’t know any better, we would have thought it was the queen herself from the tricky whistle and the mesmerizing high notes.
After watching these videos, it’s evident that Ari is the most talented popstar of our generation. She not only has a great sense of humor and a phenomenal voice, but also manages to keep us entertained with her unbelievably convincing impressions!
